Governments encourage people to leave the car and take public transport. Meanwhile train travel keeps getting more expensive and fare rules keep getting harder to read.
The right ticket often exists, but it is hidden behind operator boundaries, product names and conditions nobody explains. Passengers end up paying more than they need to, or not travelling at all.
Why it matters
Mobility is not a luxury. It decides which jobs you can take, which family you can visit and how much of your month goes to getting there.
If the affordable option is technically available but practically invisible, the system has failed the passenger.
The alternative
